The Hopium Dispatch is a writing home. This website is the public front porch. Subscriptions, payments, and email delivery are handled by Substack, not by this site.

We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising networks. We do not use third party advertising cookies. If you subscribe, your email is processed by Substack under their own privacy policy, which you can review on their website.

This site may record anonymous, privacy conscious interaction events, for example, whether someone clicked Read, Subscribe, or View All, so Maureen can understand what is useful. These events are not used to identify you, and they are not shared with data brokers.

If you write through the contact page, your message is sent only so we can reply. We keep correspondence as long as it is needed to help you, then let it go.
